B.C. engineer David Koetsch had created a new and improved growing medium for hydroponic greenhouses, which appears to have a built-in $100 million a year market. His product Grow Zorb caught the attention of dragon Brett Wilson.
Wilson offered $600,000 for a 50 per cent share of the company. After the show aired, the remaining dragons said they also wanted in. Eventually everyone pulled out after tedious rounds of further negotiating. However, Koetsch said it all worked out, because as a result of all the exposure he's now entertaining a major deal from a European company that he's not allowed to reveal.
