The OECD applauds Finland for reconciling work and family life. According to the organization, not only do 76 per cent of mothers with school-age children have jobs, but more than 90 per cent of employed Finnish women also hold full-time positions. Such work-life balance among women and mothers, the OECD says, only helps boost Finland in the eyes of all its residents, who also have it pretty good. Only 0.04 per cent of Finnish workers work more than 50 hours a week on average.
