For the past nine years, Forbes magazine has released an annual list of the world's 100 most powerful women. Based on public visibility and economic impact, it's a snapshot of the women making a difference worldwide in 2012. This year's list includes eight heads of state, 25 CEOs, dozens of entrepreneurs and a smattering of celebrity philanthropists.
