It’s tough to talk about money problems, which can be embarrassing or even shameful. That’s why the topic of money is one of the last social taboos. Break free of it by making a list of people who might be good listeners. Just broaching the topic will give you a boost of confidence. Family members and friends will likely be at the top of your list but consider someone from your church or in the HR department at work. And don’t forget your bank, where you’ll find staffers experienced in financial troubles. A sympathetic ear may be all the motivation you need to start fixing your money affairs.
