FutureBrand’s report refers to the U.S. as “an iconic brand in decline,” and indeed the country is down two spots on this list from where it stood a year earlier. But America still packs a punch on the global scale. Despite its flagging economy and 7.8 per cent unemployment rate at last check, the U.S. ranks seventh in the world when it comes to job opportunities. And when travel is considered, America is still a top destination, ranking second in the world (behind only Japan) for the best tourism attractions.
