Stores closed: 3 in 2010
The downturn has been no fairytale for the Disney Store. While Disney's stock value has since returned to health (its $34 close this week is miles way from its $16.77 per share price in February of 2009), the slide in consumer spending last year forced the entertainment company to react by axing 27 of its stores in 2010, including three locations in Canada. This year, Canuck shoppers lost its Disney Stores in Toronto, Winnipeg and Burnaby, B.C.
Should new wireless companies Mobilicity, Wind Mobile and Public Mobile be allowed to fail?
