While a handful of the 10 biggest U.S. banks will provide mobile banking to customers by the end of this year, Canadian institutions have just begun dipping their toes in the water. In fact, RBC and Scotiabank are two of the few Canadian banks that - despite all the hype - actually now offer the service. Banks like BMO are "watching ... with interest" in the meantime, waiting instead for intrigue to reach a boil before unveiling its own mobile platform. "It's safe to say adoption (in Canada) is relatively low but steadily growing," says Devin Sawyer, director of mobile channel for RBC.
